At Grangemouth High School we understand the value of work experience in supporting your young people to be work place ready. Learning about team work, interpersonal and communication skills in the work place are essential for helping our young people understand expectations in a work environment. We have an extensive list of employers and partners who provide hugely valuable placements, site visits and other opportunities for our young people. Some of our partners also deliver workshops in the school to support our DYW programmes and delivery of our Skills Framework and the Career Education Standard.
Work experience is available to pupils from S4 onwards. If your child is interested in work experience they should speak with Mr Tweedie (DYW Co-ordinator) in the first instance. If a placement is secured, your child will be provided with further information about how to conduct themselves in the work place and make the most of this opportunity.
