Boys' Group

This is a joint project between different agencies who support young people in the area. Recent sessions were delivered by the Countryside Ranger at Muiravonside Park, a teacher and SfLA from Grangemouth High and staff/volunteers from Recyke-a-bike. The programme, at times, also includes joint work alongside our school based police officer and other local services or businesses.

The group meet once a week for a double period and through lunch. Occasionally, they are out of school for whole days. In addition, there are 2 overnight camping experiences.

Programme and aims:

To develop social, emotional and communication skills through a series of activities and challenges including; outdoor education, volunteering, group work and peer support. The programme also aims to increase their self-confidence, self -awareness and self-control.

Through participating in the programme we anticipate that all participants will manage to obtain a Youth Achievement Award and work towards a John Muir Award and a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
