Girls' Group

Grangemouth High School Girls’ Group is a focussed Health and Wellbeing programme aimed at supporting a group of S2/S3 girls.

Aims and Learning Objectives:

  • To raise participants’ awareness of a range of factors that impact on and contribute to self-esteem.
  • To enable participants to develop and use strategies which help them to present themselves in a positive and confident manner in a range of settings.
  • To enable participants to develop their knowledge and understanding of relationships and the impact these can have on their Health and Wellbeing.
  • To provide participants with opportunities to explore and experience a range of social/physical activities highlighting the all-round benefits of these on their Health and Wellbeing.

Programme:

The group meet weekly for a double period, mainly be based in Grangemouth High School with some occasions when the girls participate in activities and research outside of school.

The course includes sessions on Health and beauty, Rock and Water, planning and delivering a mini Charity Event, participation in a range of physical activities and a final parental presentation.
