Higher Music Technology
Pupils will further develop the skills gained during their National qualifications throughout the Higher Course. As well as increasing their knowledge and understanding of more advanced effects and processes within sound technology, pupils will also develop their listening skills and analysis of a variety of styles of music including: 20th and 21st century classical music, electroacoustic, indie, jazz funk, new wave, R 'n' B, reggae, soul and world music. Pupils will submit a their folios to SQA in March which will include a context of their choice (film foley, gaming clip, radio broadcast or audiobook) and a multi-track recording. There will also be an exam in May to assess their understanding of the listening course.
