Staying in control of your thoughts

  1. Stop, pause and breath.
  2. Are my thoughts helpful or not?
  3. Avoid "I should" and change to "I am going to"
  4. Consider what is causing your negetive thoughts.
  5. What made you think that way e.g. I made a mistake, I'm going to fail!
  6. Try to change your mindset to - I made a mistake, but I am working hard and will learn from it.
  7. Talk to someone about how you feel and ask for support if needed.

Helpful Vs Unhelpful Thoughts

Are my thoughts helpful? Will they help me to improve and get better? OR are they unhelpful, will they slow down my progress?

Try to keep your thoughts positive and set targets for improvement.

What is your overall target? What will be your stepping stones to reach your target?

Who could help to support you?

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is being aware of our thoughts and surroundings. Sometimes we get so busy rushing through life we forget to stop and pause.
